Visitation Change

Weekly visitation has been moved to Tuesday nights at 6:30.

If you can make visits at another time - we have plenty of visits to be made.

New Resources for Your Use

Please feel free to take advantage of the Church Library. It is now in the formative stages and is located in the Discovery classroom on the rear hall. There are a number of books which have been donated by Brother Chris Jones, and some which were previously donated by a church in Forest Park, Ga. We are in the process of cataloging them and hope to have them organized soon. This is a new undertaking and we need more good books, but I believe it will be well worth the effort to have good resources available. If you have Christian books that you would like to donate or if you would like to “Check out” a book in the meantime, please see Brother Chris Jones.

If you are missing a bowl or dish, please check the box in the Mechanical Room, or in the kitchen in Building Three.

New Sunday School Classes Coming Soon

After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s will, we will be starting two new classes in September. Both classes are designed to meet the needs of the growing congregation and the varied spiritual needs of our people, not to duplicate or compete with classes which already exist. These classes are genuinely needed here to complement and expand the Sunday school Ministry.

There will be a class for, “Ladies Whose Husbands Do Not Attend Church” which will be taught by Mrs. Candi Davis and will meet in the newly redecorated room by the main entrance (Formerly Pastor’s Office). Also there will be a “Young Couples Class” taught by the pastor which will be for newlyweds and those who are in the first ten years of marriage.

Both classes are geared to reach, teach and minister to these particular groups and I am looking forward them getting underway.

Also there are some other things coming soon to the help Sunday school teachers and helpers, and to help us facilitate outreach through the Sunday school, so be watching for some exciting new additions coming soon! Please pray for the Sunday school Ministry of LBC, and by the way…

Parenting Books

Pastor Youngblood's book is now in. If you signed up for one please see Brother Preston Bridges. He will be distributing the books and receiving payment for them. The money for the books goes entirely to Brother Youngblood so please be prompt in payment as he needs the money to send to the publisher.
